Privacy Policy
Short version: your diagrams are yours. We don’t train on them, don’t sell them, and don’t serve ads. This page says the same thing in full.
1. What we collect
Your account email, a billing identifier (managed by Stripe — we never see your full card number), and the diagram content you create. We use Plausible for aggregate metrics, consent-gated Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity for masked session interactions and heatmaps. Clarity may receive an opaque account ID and coarse account or subscription tags, but never your email, prompts, or diagram content.
2. What we don't do
We do not train any machine-learning model on your diagrams or prompts. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not embed advertising or retargeting trackers; analytics is limited to the services described above.
3. AI processing
When you send a message in the editor, your prompt is forwarded to a model provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or another provider via OpenRouter) to generate a response. Each provider's own data-retention policy applies to that exchange. You can review those policies on their respective websites. ChatDiagram itself does not store raw prompts beyond what is needed to display your conversation.
4. Stripe & payments
Subscription billing is handled entirely by Stripe. ChatDiagram stores only your Stripe customer ID — no card numbers, no bank details. Stripe's Privacy Policy governs payment data.
5. Retention & deletion
You can delete any diagram at any time; deletion is permanent within 30 days. Closing your account removes all stored content within 30 days. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.
