Marine mammal phylogram

This small marine-mammal phylogram is designed as a teaching example. It places selected labels in a tree and uses clade colors to distinguish pinnipeds and cetaceans. The scale is labelled in substitutions per site because the display is a phylogram. For scientific work, replace the illustrative Newick string with a tree inferred from a documented alignment and method. Before using the layout in a build or document, compare every label with the source requirements and update the drawing when parts, conditions, or materials change. The example is deliberately small so the essential relationships remain readable, easy to review with collaborators, and ready to extend with the details required for the actual project.
