Coffee Roasting Block Flow
This coffee-roasting block flow diagram keeps the production process at a useful presentation level. Green beans, roasting air and the selected roast profile enter the roasting and cooling stage. That stage produces the roasted-bean stream for degassing and packaging, plus chaff and exhaust as a separate byproduct stream. The final block represents finished roasted coffee. This drawing is suitable for explaining process scope, planning a small roastery or starting a hazard review. It intentionally does not include equipment sizes, temperatures, airflow rates or control loops. Add bean storage, quality control, grinding, flavoring or inventory handling when those stages are relevant to the process being discussed.

Coffee production overview
Key decisions
- Recipe input: Shows the roast profile as a control input.
- Byproduct path: Separates chaff and exhaust from the product stream.
- Finished-goods stage: Places degassing and packaging after roasting.
