Satellite Attitude Control Internal Structure
This internal block diagram shows the main parts inside a small imaging satellite and the connectors that matter at system level. Solar power reaches the power subsystem, which feeds the spacecraft data bus. The bus connects the attitude-control computer, imaging payload, radio and thermal control. The attitude-control loop is explicit: sun and star sensors plus the gyroscope provide measurements to the ADCS computer, and the computer commands the reaction wheels. Ground commands arrive through the radio, while the payload has both data-bus and thermal interfaces. Use it to discuss allocation of functions to parts before specifying detailed electrical connectors or software messages.

Scenario
Satellite subsystem integration
Key decisions
- Central bus: Shows the shared connection between spacecraft subsystems.
- Closed attitude loop: Links sensors, ADCS computer and reaction wheels.
- Payload interfaces: Makes power, command and downlink dependencies visible.
When to reuse this
