Nothing close enough? Start from a blank gauge chart → Describe it in one paragraph.
How to use a gauge chart template.
- 01Identify the KPI and its range
Name the metric, its minimum, maximum, and current value. The gauge is meaningless without a calibrated range.
- 02Set threshold zones (optional)
Add red/yellow/green zones by describing the thresholds — e.g. "green above 95%, yellow 80–95%, red below 80%".
- 03Combine multiple gauges
Describe 2–4 KPIs to place them side by side on one canvas for a dashboard panel.
- 04Export or embed
Download PNG/SVG or use the shareable link to embed in a presentation or internal wiki.
Questions about gauge chart templates
When should I use a gauge chart?
When you have a single metric that needs to be compared against a target range, and status (good/warning/bad) matters more than trend over time. For multiple metrics over time, a line chart is better.
Can I add a target line or threshold zones?
Yes — describe the target or threshold boundaries and the AI adds colored arc sections (green/yellow/red) to the gauge.
How many gauges can I put on one chart?
Two to four gauges work well side by side. More than four becomes hard to read without a full dashboard layout tool.
