What a Gantt timeline is.
A Gantt timeline displays dated tasks as bars on a time axis. Lanes group the work by team or workstream, so it is easy to see what overlaps and what is due before a milestone.
It is a schedule view for coordinating dates and handoffs. Add a start date, end date, owner lane and milestone for each important piece of work, then adjust the bars as the plan changes.
