The request

“A brewery wort cooling cascade: wort enters through a fail-closed control valve into a hot wort tank, overflows through a cooling tank to a cold wort tank, then exits; a level controller on the middle tank controls the inlet valve.”

What is in this drawing

Read the decisions behind it.

01

Use tank_atm for the three cascade vessels because the process is open to atmosphere.

02

Model the overflow connections as process lines between tank top nozzles.

03

Add a level control loop (LT-102 / LIC-102) with electric and pneumatic signal lines to modulate feed valve V-101.

Use this template for any gravity overflow cascade involving multiple atmospheric tanks in sequence, such as beverage cooling, chemical decanting, or wastewater settling.
