Nothing close enough? Start from a blank circuit diagram → Describe it in one paragraph.
How to use a circuit diagram template.
- 01Describe the amplifier topology
Example: 'LM741 inverting amplifier, input resistor 10kΩ, feedback resistor 100kΩ, ±15V split supply, bypassed with 100nF capacitors.' Include the op-amp or transistor part number if you have one.
- 02AI places the active device and passives
ChatDiagram draws the op-amp or transistor symbol, connects the feedback network, and adds supply decoupling caps automatically.
- 03Set gain and frequency response
Tell the AI the desired gain and any bandwidth requirement. It will calculate and annotate resistor values, and can add a roll-off capacitor for a low-pass response.
- 04Add input/output coupling or protection
Ask for series input resistor for EMI protection, AC coupling capacitor for audio applications, or output current-limiting resistor. The AI updates the schematic in context.
- 05Export for datasheets or lab reports
Export the schematic as SVG for crisp vector output in documentation, or as PNG for lab reports and homework submissions.
Questions about circuit diagram templates
Can ChatDiagram calculate resistor values for a specific gain?
Yes. Tell ChatDiagram the gain you need and the input impedance, and it will choose standard E24 resistor values that give the closest gain and annotate them on the schematic.
Does it support differential and instrumentation amplifier circuits?
Yes. Describe a 3-op-amp instrumentation amplifier or a difference amplifier and ChatDiagram will draw the full circuit with all resistors labeled.
Can I get a class D amplifier schematic?
Yes. Describe the PWM switching stage, gate drivers, half-bridge topology, and LC output filter. ChatDiagram will generate the full power stage schematic.
How do I show a transistor biasing network?
Specify the transistor type (NPN/PNP), operating point (IC and VCE), and supply voltage. ChatDiagram will calculate the voltage divider bias resistors and draw the complete common-emitter stage.
