The drawing

What an Arduino circuit diagram is.

An Arduino circuit diagram shows the board, external modules, supply rails, ground return, and the digital or analog pins that connect them. It documents the electrical connections rather than the physical breadboard layout.

A useful Arduino schematic names the module, shows any required pull-up or current-limiting resistor, and separates the logic supply from a higher-current load supply when needed. That makes it easier to wire safely and match the connections to the sketch.

FAQ

Common questions

Which Arduino boards can I diagram?

Describe the board model and the connected modules. Arduino Uno, Nano, Mega, and compatible boards use the same schematic principles: power, ground, pin functions, and any required interface parts.

Why must Arduino modules share ground?

Signal voltages are measured relative to ground. A sensor, servo, or driver needs a common reference with the Arduino unless an appropriate isolated interface is used.

Can an Arduino power motors or servos?

Small loads may work briefly, but motors and servos often need a separate regulated supply. Connect grounds as required, check current draw, and add protection for inductive loads.

What is the difference between a schematic and a breadboard diagram?

A schematic uses symbols to show electrical connections. A breadboard diagram shows the physical placement of parts and jumper wires. Use a schematic to understand the circuit first.
