What an event floor plan is.
An event floor plan is a drawing of a venue set up for a particular occasion. It places seating, stages, tables, booths, registration and entrances so organisers can see capacity and movement before setup begins.
It is not just a seating chart. The plan also reserves routes to exits, identifies activity areas and gives suppliers a shared picture of where furniture and equipment belong.

Common questions
What is an event floor plan?
It is a layout of an event venue that shows the room, entrances, furniture, activity areas and circulation routes. It helps the team agree on where each part of the event happens.
What should I include in an event floor plan?
Include venue dimensions, exits, seating or tables, stage or presentation area, registration, booths or catering as relevant, and routes that must stay clear.
How do I choose an event seating layout?
Choose based on the activity: rows face a presentation, round tables support dining, and booth grids suit exhibitions. Leave clear access between blocks and to exits.
Can an event floor plan help with capacity?
Yes. By placing the actual furniture footprint and circulation space, the plan gives a more useful capacity check than a room area alone.
