What a Renko chart is.
A Renko chart represents price action with bricks of a fixed size. A new brick is drawn only after price moves by that amount, which filters smaller moves and focuses attention on direction.
The brick size is the key setting. A small brick shows more movement and reversals; a larger brick is quieter. Renko charts do not preserve elapsed time between bricks, so use a time-based chart alongside them when timing matters.

Common questions
What is a Renko chart?
A Renko chart uses fixed-size price bricks rather than one bar per time interval. Bricks appear only when price moves enough to meet the selected size.
How is a Renko brick size chosen?
Choose a fixed price amount, percentage or volatility-based amount that matches the instrument and time horizon. Compare results before relying on one setting.
What do green and red Renko bricks mean?
Green bricks indicate an upward fixed price move and red bricks indicate a downward fixed price move. The colours do not predict the next move.
Does a Renko chart show time?
It can label when bricks completed, but equal horizontal spacing does not mean equal time elapsed between them.
