What a welding diagram is.
A welding diagram uses a reference line, arrow, and standard weld symbols to specify a joint. It can state the weld type, the side of the joint, dimensions, and process notes without drawing every joint detail in view.
Fabricators and inspectors use the callout with the drawing and weld procedure information to understand what the joint requires.
